ShopTeam ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the ShopTeam mobile as well as web application ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

  • Contacts access — Used only when you choose to select contacts from your device to interact with through the App.
  • Location access — Used only for optional features that depend on your approximate or precise location.
  • Calendar access — Used only if you choose to integrate App events with your Google calendar.

  • Anonymous identifiers (e.g., for secure notifications)

We do not collect unnecessary data.

How We Use Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

  1. To operate the App — enable sign-in, maintain your data, support core functions

  4. To maintain security and prevent misuse

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using reputable third-party infrastructure providers such as:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Database, Cloud Functions, and related services)

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. We do not store passwords in plain text.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in the following limited cases:

1. With Service Providers

Trusted vendors may process data strictly on our behalf to support the App. These include:

  • Cloud infrastructure — Google Firebase for authentication, database, and hosting
  • Analytics — Aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve app performance

2. With Other Users (When You Choose To Interact)

If you opt into collaborative features, other participants may see limited identifiers such as your display name, email address, and content you create and intentionally share.

Automated Decision-Making

ShopTeam does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Any personalization features (such as store suggestions) are optional and based solely on information you explicitly provide.

Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the App or comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, most personal data is removed within a reasonable period, with limited exceptions for backups or legally required retention.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions) and we do not knowingly collect data from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure applicable safeguards are in place when required by law.

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and, if the changes are significant, notify you within the App.
